South Scottsdale spent years asking for a neighborhood bar that wasn’t a chain or a dive. Night Owl, from the crew behind The Vig and The Little Woody with a Ziggy’s pizza chef in the kitchen, answered in 2023: thin-crust slices, twelve taps, booths, pinball, and a large owl rotating over the bar.
Treat it as a bar that happens to make very good pizza. The fold-in-half New York slice is the point; the smashburger is a sound second reason to come.
When to go: early evening works for families; later it becomes the bar the name promises. The twinkle-lit patio is the seat from October through April.
