Must order: A cocktail in the jade bar and the Asian-accented seasonal plates

Insider tip: Book weeks out for a window or terrace-edge table timed about 45 minutes before sunset; if that fails, the jade bar is far easier to walk into and shares the view.

The Valley’s view-table debate was settled in 2001, when Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort put Elements on a cliff aimed straight across Paradise Valley. Beau MacMillan made the kitchen famous over two decades; he left in 2022, and the seasonal, Asian-accented American cooking carried on without the celebrity.

The menu moves with the produce calendar, so trust the current draft — the vegetables, the seafood, the Asian-accented plates. Start in the jade bar and go back for a nightcap as the valley lights come up.

When to go: sunset in high season if you can plan weeks ahead. Lunch or an off-peak weekday dinner gets the same geography without the booking fight.
