What is Kill Club?
Kill Club describes itself as “the bar for those who know the finer things in life but prefer their luxury with a side of grit,” and the description fits. The lighting is low, the music is loud, and the drinks are stiff. It opened in early 2025 at 7318 E Stetson Dr, steps from the Wasted Grain building, as part of Jocque Concepts, the Scottsdale group behind The Montauk, Diego Pops and, down on the Southbridge end of Stetson, El Camino.
Its tagline is “refined, but reckless,” and the menu says the same thing in food. The kitchen turns out smash burgers, Italian grinders, hot dogs and bar snacks, “the kind of food that fuels bad decisions and late-night legends,” and on Tuesdays it serves T-bones. Downstairs there are old-school dart boards that keep score for you. Upstairs is the Motor Room, a second bar with a pool table.
That puts Kill Club in the middle lane of the 2020s Entertainment District: dressed up enough to have a dress code and bookable lounges, but still a bar where people play pool and order a hot dog at midnight. When the City Sun Times surveyed Old Town’s upscale nightlife wave in August 2025, Kill Club was on the list.
The honest pitch: this is a bar first. Come for a drink, a game and a burger, not a dinner reservation.
Getting the most out of Kill Club
Use the early hours. Kill Club opens at 4 p.m. every day, and happy hour runs 4 to 7 with $2 off beers, $10 specialty drinks, $12 specialty martinis and food specials. That’s when the dart boards are open, the Motor Room is quiet and the room is still a neighborhood bar rather than a stop on someone’s bar crawl.
Make Tuesday your night. T-bone Tuesdays are the house’s one recurring food event, and a steak at a bar with a pool table upstairs is a better weeknight than most of the district offers. The kitchen serves until midnight every night, so the burger and grinder are also a late-night option.
Dress for it. The bar’s posted rule is that tank tops, flip-flops and swim attire are too casual. That trips up visitors coming straight from a hotel pool, especially in bachelorette season.
Book the lounges for groups. On Friday and Saturday, a small-group lounge for 7 to 11 people and a private lounge for 12 to 20 can be reserved in two-and-a-half-hour slots, and the Motor Room can be booked with its own bartender, pool and darts. That’s the right move for a bachelor party that wants a base instead of a crawl. Take a rideshare and use the district’s marked pickup lanes; parking near Stetson on a weekend night is a losing game. Our nightlife guide covers the rest of the grid.
A new tenant on Old Town’s oldest bar block
The 7300 block of Stetson Drive is where Scottsdale nightlife put down roots. Martini Ranch opened at 7295 in 1994 and spent nearly twenty years booking bands upstairs. SIX Lounge arrived next door to Kill Club’s address, at 7316, in 2001, bringing the ultra-lounge to a town of resort piano bars. The district grew out from there, onto Saddlebag Trail and Indian Plaza, and the 2010s turned it into the regional magnet it is now.
The 7318 storefront has had a busier life than most. Over the years it housed Philadelphia Sandwich Company, Mulligan’s and El Chameleon. In January 2024, What Now Phoenix reported that Ryan Jocque, founder of Jocque Concepts, was planning a new American restaurant for the address, to be called Jones, with a patio, booths, a dart area and a menu of burgers, steaks and pizzas. What opened at 7318 in early 2025 was Kill Club, and its darts, burgers and steak night look a lot like that plan with a harder edge.
Kill Club also fits the district’s current direction. In 2025 the city budgeted $40 million for its “Spruce Up Old Town” program, and venue operators told the City Sun Times that “everyone is revamping, leveling up, chasing a more polished, elevated crowd.” Kill Club’s version of polish is a dress code, bookable lounges and martinis, delivered in a room that still has a pool table and sells hot dogs.
Whether that balance lasts is the open question on a street that turns concepts over quickly. For now Kill Club is one of the 2020s additions to Stetson Drive that still feels like a bar.
