Scottsdale’s year has a shape, and it isn’t the one on a wall calendar. Almost everything big happens between mid-January and the end of March, when Car Week, the Phoenix Open, the Arabian show and spring training stack on top of each other and every hotel in the city sells out together. Then the heat empties the calendar, and it refills from October. This is the whole year, month by month, with every event that has a guide on this site.
How we dated it. Every date below was checked against the organizer’s own site or announcement in October 2026. Where an organizer hadn’t posted 2027 dates yet, we say so and tell you when it usually falls, rather than guess. Big events move, so confirm before you book anything non-refundable, and expect us to update this page as dates are announced. Each event’s own guide has the tickets, parking and where to stand.
Across the city line. The events section now also covers the Valley events a visitor staying in Scottsdale drives to, in Tempe, Phoenix, Chandler, Glendale, Gilbert, Avondale, Paradise Valley, Gold Canyon, Florence, Cave Creek, Carefree, Fountain Hills and on the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. They are listed below with the rest, each named by its town; every one of their guides gives the drive from Old Town.
If you’re choosing when to come rather than what to see, read the best time to visit first, and the quiet calendar if you’d rather avoid all of this.
