Gainey Ranch doesn’t need another resort dining room; it needs a local. Wally’s has been that since the late 2000s, and when Christopher Collins took it over from his father in 2016 he kept the fan favorites, added house-made pasta and craft cocktails, and earned the word gastropub. The crowd is golfers, neighbors and Hyatt guests who wandered over.
The S’Mac skillet is the dish everyone shares. The meatloaf and Root’s Baby Back Ribs survived the relaunch for a reason.
When to go: Happiest Hour, 3 to 6 PM daily, on the dog-friendly patio. Fridays in season, book or beat the golf carts.
