McCormick Ranch went decades without a proper neighborhood bar, and Genuine Concepts filled the gap in 2014 with a backyard tavern: a big patio, a bocce lawn, and bike racks full of greenbelt cyclists. It’s a group concept and doesn’t pretend otherwise, but the neighborhood adopted it as the default anyway.
The kitchen is there to support the hang — burgers, tacos and shareables a notch above bar food — so order to graze and lean on the local-heavy taps.
When to go: late afternoon into sunset, riding happy hour on the patio. Weekend brunch is the busiest service of the week; book it.
