Fox Restaurant Concepts built its empire by cloning its hits. The Greene House, open at Kierland Commons since 2007, is the one it never copied: a Craftsman-styled room of warm wood and lantern light, named for architects Greene & Greene. North Scottsdale has used it as the birthday-and-client-dinner default for nearly two decades.
The menu rotates with the seasons, and the vegetable sides are the sleeper order. The burger holds a Commons-wide reputation for good reason.
When to go: lunch — same kitchen, gentler prices, easier seating. Dinner books up on weekends and through the winter high season.
