Main Street’s gallery block empties out at 6:00 PM, which is when The Beverly on Main starts to make sense. The door is unmarked, the windows are hung with heavy red curtains, and inside is a dim lounge that has been pouring since 2015 while the neighbors sold bronzes. Early on it is a cocktail bar with a good wine list. Late, a DJ takes over and it becomes the quietest party in Old Town, which is still a party.
The kitchen is the surprise. The Beverly Burger comes on an English muffin with smoked gouda and chipotle mayo, the Filet Bites are pan-seared petite filet with horseradish cream, and the truffle fries do what truffle fries do. The kitchen runs until about 1:30 AM, which matters at 1:00 AM.
When to go: open daily 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM as of this writing. Come at happy hour for a conversation, or after midnight when the rest of Old Town has run out of food.
