Most of Old Town is either a gallery or a bar, and neither is great for sitting down and talking. Sip splits the difference: a real coffeehouse by day that slides into a craft beer bar by night, with the same worn couches serving both shifts.
Remote workers own the mornings; open mic and salsa nights own the evenings. It is the closest thing the neighborhood has to a living room, and it behaves like one.
When to go: weekday mornings to work, evenings for an open mic — check the calendar first. Mid-afternoon is the sweet spot if you want both.
