Galleries on Main Street come and go; Malee’s has been feeding them since 1987, which makes it one of Scottsdale’s longest continuously running restaurants. White-tablecloth-casual, properly made curry pastes, and none of the neighborhood’s usual appetite for reinvention.
The curry list is the heart of it, and the pad thai is still an honest test of balance after nearly four decades. Lunch is one of the better sit-down options in a bar-food neighborhood.
When to go: Thursday ArtWalk nights, with a reservation around 7:00 PM between gallery laps. Summer evenings are the locals’ secret, when tables come easy.
